Certainly wood but well melted.Smooth and dense mouth, velvety tannins, a beautiful structure for a wine that is certainly woody but very interesting.”

Yohan Castaing tasted the 2016 Château Beauvillage for Gault & Millau, awarding it a score of 15/20. “A slightly smoky wine with smooth, well-integrated oak and exuberant spicy notes. Starts out juicy on the palate with elegant, tight-knit tannin, and a lively, long aftertaste. A wonderful expression of Merlot on the nose and Cabernet Sauvignon on the palate. Unbeatable value for money”.
On 10 February, the Union de la Sommellerie Française celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Bistro du Sommelier restaurant in Bordeaux. The Crus Bourgeois du Médoc were present for the occasion, including 2014 and 2016 Château Beauvillage.
